About
NestMaxx is a free, online true-shape nesting tool for anyone who cuts flat stock to shape on a laser, plasma, waterjet or CNC router. Nesting arranges parts on a sheet so they use as much material as possible. NestMaxx packs each part by its real outline using the No Fit Polygon method, rather than the rectangle around it, so round and irregular parts slot together tightly. One click races several packing strategies at once and keeps the tightest result. Small parts drop into the holes and cut-outs of larger ones, and the layout spreads across as many sheets as you allow, with a clear list of anything that did not fit. Parts come in three ways: import DXF or SVG files (splines and beziers arrive as true arcs, with layer and unit control), choose from over 40 parametric shapes such as plates, flanges, brackets and rings, or draw one in the built-in 2D CAD editor, which checks that every outline is cut-ready. You control rotation and grain direction, priority, quantity and mirroring per part, set any sheet size in millimetres or inches, and place the work origin where your machine expects it. When a sheet is not full, the leftover crops off as a clean offcut you can reuse. The finished nest exports as DXF (R12) or SVG, one file per sheet. Everything runs on your own device. Nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and every feature is free.
